Zoom Meeting featuring Hon. Nancy Wieben Stock - 2020 Vision: Finding Legal Clarity in a Pandemic Year

Hon. Nancy Wieben Stock (Ret.) spoke at a meeting on November 19, 2020. The meeting was held online via a Zoom meeting, and was provided at no cost. Judge Stock's remarks were titled "2020 Vision: Finding Legal Clarity in a Pandemic Year." One hour of CLE credit was available.
Hon. Nancy Wieben Stock (Ret.) was appointed to the Orange County Superior Court by Governor George Deukmejian on January 23, 1990. In her 24 years on the Superior Court, she served as the Presiding Judge, Assistant Presiding Judge, the Presiding Judge of the Appellate Division and Supervising Judge of Family Law. She also served on the Complex Civil Panel, Civil General Trials on Direct Calendar and Felony Trials assignments. Prior to her appointment, she served as a federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney’s Office from 1978-1990. Judge Stock handled a number of interstate stranger-abduction kidnapping cases. She has presented at and been recognized by the National Center for Missing & Abused Children.
Judge Stock graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in 1973 and followed with a law degree from the same institution. Valedictorian of her college class, Judge Stock was voted the Distinguished Alumnus of her law school class on the occasion of its 20th graduation anniversary.
