Blaine Evanson was the speaker at a July 16, 2020 Event.  Blaine discussed the 2019 Supreme Court term.  The slides from Blaine's presentation are available here.  The event was held online via Zoom, and was provided at no cost.  1 hour of CLE credit was available.

Blaine H. Evanson is a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where his practice focuses on complex commercial litigation both in the trial court and on appeal. He regularly practices before the Supreme Court of the United States and appellate courts around the country. This past Supreme Court Term he was involved in five cases at the certiorari or merits stage, including representing amici on the merits in Google v. Oracle (copyright law), McGirt v. Oklahoma (Native American law), and Little Sisters of the Poor v. Pennsylvania (religious freedom). Law360 named him one of five national appellate “Rising Stars” under 40 in 2018, and Euromoney named him the 2018 “Best in Litigation: Appellate” under 40. Before joining the firm, Blaine served as a law clerk for Judge A. Raymond Randolph of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He graduated from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a Senior Editor on the Columbia Law Review, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University.
